Thailand Gold Fixing Benchmark resulted from the collaborative, initiative aimed to developing a standardized gold benchmark price reflecting Asian-hour gold activity, between gold import/export business and Thailand futures exchange. It is a quote-based financial benchmark designed to reflect fair market value. Given the fact that Thailand contains relatively high volume of gold transactions compared to other countries in the region, TFEX recognized the significance and potential of creating such a benchmark and partnered with industry participants to develop it.

The Thailand Gold Fixing Benchmark is determined twice daily: a morning fixing at approximately 10:00 AM and an afternoon fixing at approximately 4:30 PM (Thailand time). The benchmark references gold with a purity of 99.5% and is quoted exclusively in US dollars (USD).
